Ben holds a BM in Music Education (PreK-12 Instrumental) from Longwood University and an MM in Music Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. While he majored in clarinet and performs primarily on bass outside of the concert band world, Ben is a multi-instrumentalist, performing with numerous ensembles on a number of different instruments. It's my goal to engage students through music they already love, and (at the same time) introduce them to new music ideas and musical concepts/challenges. In 1994 I graduated with my Bachelors in Music Education from Syracuse University, and continued my studies with a Masters of Science in Music Education and Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation. Through my career, i've taught music at all levels, from elementary music classes to middle and high school band, and even orchestra. I have a great enjoyment and love for music since a child. Since then from 2015, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a degree in both trumpet performance and jazz studies. I saturated myself to know a great deal and variety of genres in music. In 2016, I toured for a year playing around 10 different states and venues for audiences around the country.
