My teaching style is of an encouraging nature. Pursuing musical excellence is demanding and requires discipline and dedication. In my experience, those demands are best met with encouragement, not negativity. For as long as we are willing to learn, we are all students. My teaching style is adaptive to the students goals! I am a fairly easy going teacher that will help meet students where they are at, and walk with them on their growth journey. I stay flexible to the individual students' needs. I try to keep the student engaged and ask many questions to help them become their own best teacher. I will give assignments and create goals but also want the student to be self motivated. I will not be overly strict when it comes to practice. I like to have the student approach music with joy and curiosity. I like to keep the learning positive and help the students find their voice within music and find what motivates them intrinsically.
