I was born in the Ukraine. I received a degree from the Conservatory of music of Lviv in the Ukraine, where studied trombone. I was performed in Symphonic Band, Brass Ensemble, and the Philharmonic Orchestra. I was previously a band director and music educator in the Ukraine. I am a young, passionate, and eager instructor who enjoys working with students of all ages and sharing my love of music. In 2017, I graduated form the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Studies with a focus in Trombone Performance. Being able to learn and perform all over the country has been one of the most phenomenal experiences as a musician. I began teaching privately in high school when a family friend had asked me to teach their beginner son music and trumpet. Since then, I have had the opportunity to teach all sorts of people ranging from as young as 6 years old, to 64 years old. Something I prioritize in my teaching is the development of efficient problem-solving skills. This is such an important skill to me because I firmly believe that if a student is unable to learn and discover things without my help as a teacher, then I have effectively taught them nothing. My teaching experience starts even while I was in high school. I would volunteer to help the middle school band students to coach them and get them ready for competitions. I also volunteered with the Seattle Music Partners where we went into schools that lost their music program and we taught students after school as their only means of connection to this art in schools. While in college I was a co-coordinator and participant in a Music Mentor Program where we took college students and matched them with students from the local middle school in Oberlin. Read More
