I've found that students always are capable of more than they believe. Encouraging regular practice and finding music that makes the students want to practice is most important. That experience is what led me to want to become a studio instructor. I have been singing and playing music all my life, but my instrumental music career began in 1994 when I was handed my first Baritone Horn. For four years I took lessons with James Erdman, retired Marine Band first chair trombone, and performed in over 4 ensembles every semester.
