I have been teaching in various circumstances since 2010. I began with teaching middle school jazz sectionals, moved to high school marching band groups, and now teach masterclasses as well as private lessons. I have had the opportunity of teaching elementary aged students with Baton Rouge, LA's Kids' Orchestra program, and have taught college aged students through teaching assistantships and private lessons. I started teaching private piano in 1991 and have trained over 200 private students since starting. I have taught K-12 music in public schools since 1991. My students' ages have ranged from 3 to 66+. As I am fully retired from the public school music classroom, I have expanded my times available for private students - piano, keyboard, ukulele, guitar, and all brass instruments are welcome. In High School, my music practice skills carried over to my academic studies and I was able to graduate with Honors, a 4.00, and earn 14 scholarships to attend college to become a musicteacher.
