For beginning students, I recommend Rubank Elementary Method. This will be supplemented by a strong foundation in vital fundamentals. No prior music experience is necessary: we will learn about reading music, music theory, and music history. I introduce students to short duets very early, as it makes a student feel confident in their ability to make a beautiful sound. I am presently adding to my musical knowledge by studying piano and music theory and I am also taking courses to become Suzuki certified in Flute.
