For beginning students I make sure we know every warm up exercise and stretching exercises for the fingers after explaining the importance of rehearsing properly. We will start getting familiarized with a couple circles until the student fluently knows how to accompany every chord. When meeting a new student I like to take the time to know about them. Such as their Hobbies, what kind of music they like, what attracts them to the flute , what kind of future career they are interested in taking and what they hope to achieve from taking lessons. From there I can cater my teaching style to fit their needs. Once I started college in Buenos Aires(Argentina) in a music composition degree I worked with several masters in a multitude of instruments(violin, flute, trumpet, guitar) which i was able to start teaching and performing live.
