Instruments: Violin, Cello, Flute

I grew up in a musical family. My mother is a professional violinist and teacher and all of my sisters and brother and I learned to play various instruments from a very early age. My mother and father sacrificed a lot for their children to have music lessons as they are quite expensive for the lower middle class family But they believed it was worth it as music lessons boost brain power and help with the development of fine motor skills and mathematics, even speech. Instruments: Saxophone, Flute, Piccolo, Music

I am a 21 year old musical performer, educator, and composer residing in New Smyrna Beach. I started playing the Flute when I was 11 and the Saxophone when I was 12. After only a few months of playing both instruments I knew I wanted to study and teach music for a living, so in high school I got involved in multiple music competitions, out-of-school performances, and other extracurriculars. After the past few years of intense practicing and studying in college, Ive had the privilege of playing the Flute in performances with the Orlando Symphony Orchestra, performing Jazz on Saxophone at the Orlando Museum of Art, and frequently attending recording sessions with some of the top musicians in Central Florida. Instruments: Flute

Most of my students are playing the flute or piano for an extracurricular/hobby activity. Therefore, I do not want any student to view lessons as work. Above all else, lessons should be fun! I want to challenge my students but never overwhelm them. I work with students at their own pace and try to make the environment as fun and as laid-back as I can. I love playing alongside my students so they are not always playing alone because sometimes playing by yourself in front of a teacher can be stressful. Read More

Instruments: Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet

I believe that every student needs different things and the teacher should have the ability to read those needs and find ways to let the student learn at their own pace and more importantly make the student eager to get in the practice room because it's a fun experience. I'm an active musician and I love to share my experiences with people that are willing to learn and benefit from them. Read More

Instruments: Flute, Recorder, Shakuhachi

It has a CD, with the band in the background , so it makes it fun for a practice session at home. I also learned "Brain Gym" from one of my flute teachers. I always like to incorporate that especially if the student has some confusion or is stuck on an area like a certain rhythmic phrase, or anything hard to unravel, as well as reading music. In addition, I like to use yellow clear gels over the music should the student have a little trouble with eye tracking or staying focused. Read More
