I'm a passionate and dedicated instructor who loves to help students find their inner voice and encourage their love of singing. In 2012, I graduated from Shenandoah University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance and a minor in Piano. Performing all genres of music has been a great experience for me and venturing into the opera world, while continuing to pursue my love for contemporary music, has been a thrilling experience. My greatest performance memory was when I performed and opened the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade two years in a row.
I have been teaching for about 6 years and I enjoy it immensely. I began teaching private lessons in college. I encourage regular practice so that the student can foster their own love of singing and so that they can also improve more quickly and steadily. I am a very caring and kind teacher who always encourages my students on even the smallest accomplishments. I have performed in all genres, so I therefore teach all genres and I enjoy teaching a variety of genres. I tend to encourage a classical technique will all students, just so that they can learn to sing healthily. This often helps my contemporary students to sing whatever they want, without hurting themselves. I encourage all students to perform regularly so that they build their confidence and so that they can enjoy singing even more! My lessons are fun and I teach singers of all ages!
For beginning students, I begin with basic vocal exercises and I also teach them music theory. I encourage my singers to be educated musicians, so we work on technique, theory, and repertoire so that my students can be the best and the most educated singers that they can be! I coach and teach all styles that the student is interested in because I believe that my students can sing whatever they want to sing, as long as they do it in a healthy way. I structure my lessons so that they are fun, educational, and engaging, no matter the students ability level.
I am a fun teacher who loves to see my students progress and fall in love with music! I tailor my lessons to the students specific needs, so we move at a pace that works for the student. Each lesson is structured around the students needs, so that the student remains inspired and excited to learn. I love my students to be happy with their progress and to be able to do what they love, and I accomplish this with constant encouragement, mentoring, and structured and fun instruction. I enjoy watching my students progress and succeed musically and in life.
She is doing a great job with both of my children, ages 3.5 years and 5 years. She has the patience to work with young children, and she uses games to make things more interesting for the kids.
My daughter has enjoyed her first lessons. She is very kind and patient with her. She is just starting but I know she is learning something new each time.
Ms. Brittany is patient and kind with our 4yo. Brittany has a fantastic background in music that gives her excellent tools for teaching. Not only is our daughter learning crucial fundamentals, but she is excited for her lessons with Ms. Brittany each week! Couldn't ask for anything more.
Brittany is knowledgable, talented, and dedicated. I honestly that I've learned something with every lesson.
My teen daughter and her friend both take lessons with Brittany. They are both beginners, and they LOVE her! I can already tell my daughter is developing some vocal talents.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
