As a recent transplant to Brooklyn, I look forward to using my experience to build a successful portfolio of new students in New York. My goals are to help each student build solid musical and instrumental fundamentals, to guide students in exploring their own personalized interests and passions within music, and to help students develop qualities of confidence, hard work, and empathy that come with experiencing music and will serve them in all areas of their lives. Instruments: Saxophone Flute Clarinet Piccolo

I am an instructor that focuses on building the whole musician. I can teach multiple disciplines including classical, baroque, jazz, latin jazz, Brazilian, rock, middle eastern, and others. In the last several years I have learned about flute pedagogy and teaching artistry from Marco Granados, audition repertoire and standard repertoire from the BSO's Clint Foreman, and baroque flute/period performance from Na'ama Lion. My philosophy is that flute instruction should extend beyond western concert music and conventional repertoire to build versatile musicians prepared for the modern musical world through a Socratic teaching method that builds the desire to learn. Instruments: Saxophone Clarinet

As an educator, I'm a dedicated pedagogue. I like to encourage students to think, work, study, and practice the instrument on their own, not only in the class. My leitmotif is "I can't teach you anything, I can only make you think”. As a teacher of clarinet at the music school "Vatroslav Lisinski", my career dates back to 2006. My students have so far won 49 first, 16 second and 2 third prizes in the national and the international competitions. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at their own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Read More

I've played piano and saxophone for over 25 years and studied jazz composition at Berklee College of Music. The teachers that I was fortunate enough to learn from as I grew up were so important in my musical development, and they kept me interested in continuing with music! I understand just how important specialized attention to talents and interests are in beginners and all other levels. So my focus is always trying to make sure my students are enjoying their instruments every step of the way, while providing the structure and expert assistance that will bring the progress that students need to experience. Hello! I'm 25 year Berklee College of Music Alumnus with 16 years playing experience! I started studying the saxophone at 9 years old and spent most of my early school years performing in community, school, and local college jazz bands around the Seattle-Tacoma area of Washington State. My music has given me the opportunity to travel the world, and in summer of 2016, I conducted a tour of Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda with my band the AfroXchange in conjunction with music therapy organization Global Youth Groove where I hosted jazz masterclasses, as well as performed at clubs and festivals, and assisted a music therapy team around the countryside. Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
