I encourage my students to practice at least an hour a day, this can be done in ten minute intervals or whatever amount of time the student can maintain focus. I knew from the day I heard my middle school band teacher playing his saxophone that that was what I wanted to do. The passion has only continued to grow for me, and I want to pass my knowledge and passion onto my students. I graduated from Western Washington University in 2016 with a BA in music and a minor in audio recording. My main focus is trying to teach students HOW to learn music, so that they can eventually create their own methodology based on what works best for them. I have eight years of experience teaching private lessons, so I understand how to craft a curriculum to an individual's needs.
