Understanding the student's interest would be my priority goal. Helping students not just playing the instrument, but also loving it, so they will cherish the time with their instruments. Having fun while learning music is always my target in teaching music. Students and parents are welcome to provide the music they would love to learn. That should keep their attention in having fun. At the same time, other-focused material would be assigned, so the students will maintain a great foundation in playing music. Read More

I graduated from Denison High School in 2018 at the top of my class with honors. I'm currently studying Music Performance at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma. I have a passion for music and I want to spread that passion to others through teaching and playing. I am primarily a jazz player, but I enjoy playing and teaching all genres of music. I'm available to teach anywhere between Sherman, Texas and Durant, Oklahoma. Read More

In our lessons we will focus on the fundamentals, then the music, and having a little fun at the end. Progress might be slow or we might be able to jump to more advanced music in the first month of meeting but I understand that every student is different and will progress at their own pace and I will do my best to help guide them. We will set goals every week and depending on if we can meet them consistently, will determine how we proceed in our lessons. Read More

I have been teaching private lessons since I was in high school in 2007. I worked with younger students in my program who couldn't afford the rates of the professional instructors in the area, so I taught for free to members of our lowest ensemble. I found that I enjoyed teaching and I soon set course for my degree in music education. I continued teaching while at college to student ages 10 - 31. Read More

Saxophone/flute: Any beginning band method book or standard beginning to intermediate woodwind book. Appropriate repertoire. Piano: I use most beginning methods, including Alfred, Bastien, Piano Adventures (Faber), and other standard piano methods. I use those appropriate to age, goals, and learning style (for instance, chord methods are sometimes better for adults). Read More

Hello, I am a saxophonist, composer, educator and multi-instrumentalist. I began playing the saxophone at age 12 and from the moment I first touched the horn, I was hooked. After becoming more familiar with the jazz language, I quickly became further immersed in the jazz scene back home in Dallas. During high school I performed in many jazz festivals, competitions and local bands that furthered my artistry and understanding of the music I am playing. Read More
