I am a student of Life. I have been classically trained on Piano since I can remember; music is in my BLOOD! My father plays every instrument known to man (and I mean that), has written, composed, and performed in Carnegie Hall. I had the knowledge and know how of music first hand as a gift from one of the most talented musicians I have heard; with the pedigree to match because I am his son. Read More

Around this time, I also began taking students for private lessons on violin, guitar, mandolin, banjo and all the other various things I play. In both the bigger theory classes and my one-on-one lessons, I really encourage students to work on material that they enjoy and to relate their studies to the things that they're passionate about. I want to ensure that my students are as excited about music as I am! Read More

I usually balances the time by working first on fundamental/technical aspects of the instrument: intonation, articulation, rhythm, and tone; followed by study of the particular student's chosen repertoire, whether it be jazz standards, rock/pop/blues tunes, classical literature or etudes. I believe in teaching students to organize their practice time wisely, isolating specific issues on the instrument. Cultivating personal musical goals with each student is also very important, in order to maximize the student's enjoyment of the time they spend playing. Read More

Each student is unique so I start out with seeing where they are and we go from there. If I have a student that is needing more help than usual I will help the student understand things in a way that is helpful for them. Students that have more experience, I use some of the method books that most school use such as Essential Elements for Band, Rubank method books, as well as new material customized for students. I’m a Texas native, from San Antonio! I found music when I was about 11 years old, and I was completely obsessed with Bob Dylan and Bob Marley! Because I couldn’t afford lessons, I learned as much theory as I could online. After playing in some bands in high school, I applied for the music program at Trinity University! I received my BA in Music in 2018, and now, for the past two years I’ve been giving lessons to people of all ages, with a focus in music theory and audio production! Read More
