I studied piano performance with Robert Smith and violin performance with Percy Kalt at BYU; I have also studied with Jeffrey Shumway, former Head of Keyboard Studies, BYU and Carroll Meyer, Boise State University. I have taught siblings in a class type setting. I have taught preschoolers at preschool. I have taught Little Mozarts to little ones. I use music in the homes already, sometimes I provide things from the 50s that my aunt and uncle scribbled in: leila Fletcher, Edna Mae Burnam, classical composers-mozart, debussy, chopan, clementi, beethoven, bach. Music has been a passion of mine from age 6. I got my start playing the piano with friends trying to figure out the music from Super Mario 64. Not a day has gone by since then that I haven't picked up an instrument of some kind. A few years ago, I taught the piano for approximately three years. I stopped teaching for a while in order to pursue my Bachelor's Degree - beginning at Dixie State University, and I am now working to build my clientele again. I absolutely love to teach. One of my favorite moments with every students happens at around the 4th or 5th lesson, when the student then feels comfortable enough to begin to discuss with me some of their goals with the piano.
