I began teaching music while in college after a peer approached me looking for voice lessons in order to improve her ear training skills. I immediately enjoyed facilitating and witnessing the progress of my student and decided to take on additional students. When I moved to Colorado, I was making music more and more and missed teaching. That's when I was given the opportunity to teach a 2-month course in music production to students with very limited music experience. Read More

I have been teaching music ever since I began to develop a formal education myself. I began by teaching anyone and everyone I could as early as my first year of college. I quickly figured out that anyone could really learn this stuff. I also realized that most people wanted to learn at some point, just never got around to it or stopped believing they could. It has always been my mission to reverse this kind of thinking for those who want it, and help people understand it is never too late to learn. Read More

I started teaching when I was 18, still in high school. I have been taking lessons for 15 years at that point, and felt the need to share my experiences and knowledge with everyone around me. I found a lesson studio that had students for me to teach and since then I have been teaching private lessons, group classes, drum circles and at the professional college level for 12 years. While teaching, I try toincorporate my professional experiences and relate those to concepts that the student is working on. Read More
Instruments: Piano
I typical use Alfred's, Piano Adventures or Bastien's Piano Basics for children and I emphasis doing scales/finger exercises. I also encourage ear training. For Intermediate students, I use Bach, Burmuller, and Sonatas. Though I would love to follow books to make sure no fundamental skills/knowledge will be missed, from time to time, I would love to keep students motivated by letting them to pick a song they want to learn (no matter their levels are) and we will be working on that song. I'm a passionate musician from a small town in Missouri. My love for music started at a young age and I'm happy to say much of my personal and professional time has been spent surrounded by it. I love every different genre for different reasons and appreciate every musician for their addition to the field. I studied voice and piano from the age of 8 through to high school and college eventually teaching at a private studio in Birmingham, AL. Read More

I'm a professional and motivated instructor who just graduated from UT Austin and would love to share music with whoever wants to learn. It has been 16 years for playing cello and orchestra whether in school and outside of school, and also for teaching experience. I have been working with several Maestros, including Bion Tsang, Rapheal Bell, Peter Seidenberg, Peter Opie, and Jonathan Spitz, and I had an opportunity to perform in the Taiwan National Concert Hall with Haik Kazazyan, who was the third-place of International Tchaikovsky Violin Competition.
