Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Read More

I have 10 years of experience teaching voice. My mother is an opera singer and highly successful voice coach in Vienna, Austria and she not only was the best voice teacher I ever had, but also taught me to teach. Sharing my passion with other people has turned out to be one of the most rewarding things in my life. The joy, fun and often surprised looks on my student's faces when all of a sudden a beautiful tone comes out of their mouths, is just priceless! Read More

I use different book series, depending on the age and level of the student. For young students, I start with the little Mozarts book series, lesson books, and workbooks. For older students, I will either use Bastien or Alfreds lesson and workbooks. This is mixed with a classical and folk book. We also work on theory, and making sure we know our intervals. Students also learn about key signatures and recognizing sharps and flats. Read More

I believe deeper understandings give way to stronger and more professional performances. I work closely with students to help them develop strong basics and a concrete foundation in voice or piano, through fun and interactive music and games. Having performed with the Orange County Pacific Symphony, I am able to provide students with professional performance perspectives from performing in small venues to 3,000 seat performance halls. I encourage students to learn and work on music they are passionate about. Read More

Seeing growth in students and seeing them enjoy music is part of my love for teaching. I set realistic goals and incorporate music theory, scales, chords as soon as the student is ready. I also teach composition and music production to those who are interested. I teach music production from a sequencing app that works on Apple and Android. I set up recitals for students where they can perform pieces they've worked or perform their original songs they've written. Read More

For beginners, I would first teach them the basic sitting and hand postures, basic note-reading, and basic music theories. After they know how to play piano in an appropriate posture, I would like them to start with Hanon piano exercises. I believe it is a great book to warm up the fingers and a great finger exercises for all levels of piano players. Other than those basic exercises, I would also like to introduce them to one to two simple pieces that are fun to play. Read More
