Within the first lesson, I make an assessment of the individuals musical abilities, and document the genres of music that interests the student. My master's degree in trumpet performance at the University of Denver included a teaching assistantship: I taught trumpet lessons, coached brass quintets, trumpet ensembles, and more. I had a private studio in Denver and again in Cleveland, where I was before relocating to DC. In Cleveland I taught full-time and ended up with over fifty private students. I attended the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami from 2012-2016 and obtained a bachelor's degree in Studio Music and Jazz Instrumental on trumpet. I moved to New York and received a masters degree in Jazz Performance from the Manhattan School of Music in 2018.
