In 2015, I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance. I learned my style from my mother, who taught piano out of our home when I was growing up. She would try to make learning the basics fun and would choose pieces to work on that were musically interesting for kids, so that once they mastered the notes, they would enjoy playing it for themselves and for friends. My style is very interactive in not teaching the students, but demonstrating what are the proper ways to approach different praticing techniques and repertoire selections. With my vocal lessons I have students do proper warm-up techniques and various scales before we begin working on vocal selections.  Afterwards I use repetition with the repertoire in order to help the students with skills that are needed to perform any particular piece including intonation, diction, and breathing.
