However, this does not apply to further process of learning as music is one of the most complicated forms of art and it demands deep emotional and conceptual approach. I'm a passionate musician and teacher and would love to be your instructor! My love and experience is primarily in guitar, voice, and piano. I graduated from Gordon college in 2008 with a degree in music education and taught K-8 grade for several years, which included directing children's choirs, teaching private lessons, and teaching general music to many ages. For young students starting piano lessons for the first time, I recommend either Bastien or Faber's piano Adventure method books. My older students love Alfred's books. These method books, in my opinion, have motivating pieces and give the students a solid foundation in theory and scales. I also use supplementary materials such as Dozen a Day, Czerny, Kabalevskiy. For students of all ages, I stress that the ears are the most important part of playing or listening to music. Read More

Liz started playing the flute at the age of six. At a very early age she started formal musical training in her native home town of San Juan Puerto Rico and quickly developed great appreciation for music and arts. She was accepted in an arts specialized school where she was constantly exposed to private lessons, large ensembles and chamber music. Upon finishing this program, she was accepted in the Conservatory of Music in Puerto Rico where she earned her Bachelors Degree in flute performance. Read More

My teaching experience includes working as Skills Instructor at a day program for adults with disabilities. There, I taught dance classes and sing alongs, meditation groups, cooking groups general life skills. I have also lead music in nursing homes for patients with dementia/Alzheimers. I have traveled throughout high school and college, along the east coast, to perform with choirs at churches, schools, and public events.
