I make sure to first introduce my students musical fundamentals, then progress to repertoire that is appropriate for the students' age and skill level. I scaffold learning concepts and sequence them so that students can confidently progress from one level to another. Music theory is woven into my teaching methods, strengthening students' understanding of their instrument. For piano, I like to teach from the Faber Piano Adventures books. I have studied at Berklee, New England Conservatory, and UT Austin, and performed at the highest levels of the industry, including making Hip Hop tracks for Warner Brothers in my 20s, touring with funk/rock, latin, and jazz acts around the world, playing in top wedding bands and directing music at churches. I teach using Zoom, with an overhead cam and face cam, and record all lessons for accessing after the lessons as well. Read More

I graduated from Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver June of 2019 and have been teaching privately for the past two years. I also teach hour-long group vocal classes seasonally. On average, I teach around 30 lessons a week, mostly 30/45 minute sessions, and several hour long sessions in addition to my group classes. The majority of my instruction takes place over FaceTime/Zoom, or in the student’s home. I just recently moved back to my home of Colorado from New York City. I am now based in Denver, where I am head engineer/producer of my own recording studio, “The Mine.” Many of my longstanding students have continued with me as their teacher via Zoom/Facetime, regardless of me moving or being on tour.
