I'm a passionate musician who loves composing original works and inspiring other people to fall in love with music. Despite the lack of formal degrees in a music related major, I've been certified to teach piano and have substituted for piano teachers on multiple occasions. I collaborate with local musicians that include drummers, guitarists, singers, and bassists and love to perform in front of audiences. While studying at Campbell, Joshua served as the Principle Bassoonist in the Cape Fear Symphony and Principle Trombone in the Campbell University Wind Ensemble. For beginning students I typically start with sound development and articulation for the brass instruments starting with armband studies and schlosburg studies. For the intermediate students I work on Clark studies and intersperse getchel etudes for artistic development. Advanced students work on major recital works for brass that help their development for performance. Guitar students learn chordal techniques with rythem patterns and a blend of classical playing finger picking for individual technique for fingers. Read More
