I try to instill diligence patience and not being too hard on yourself as the top priorities. I want student and teacher interactions to be casual enjoyable and fun but at the same time serious with regards to the composer's intentions in the music. Growing up, I was always active playing with several youth orchestras and various ensembles, ranging from classical to popular and folk music.
