I currently teach piano lessons at Trinity under the name of Joseph’s Piano, and at That Music Place in Springboro and Bella Musica in Miamisburg. Some of my past performances include piano accompaniment for Ohio Performing Arts Musicals and the Clark State Community College Chorus. While in high school at Springfield Shawnee, I played the pipe organ at Wittenberg University’s Weaver Chapel. In the past few years, I have worked with adult students who have wanted to learn for their own personal interest or to add to their growing list of instruments they already play. I am a musician who specializes in trumpet, flute, piano, clarinet, french horn and vocal, but is primarily known as a trumpet artist who is currently attending Capital University as a music education major. Students are provided with a lesson book from which the bulk of their assignments will come and a theory book containing written activities. As a general rule, a student will have one or two assignments from each book per week. The assignments are coordinated so as to reinforce concepts discussed in lessons. This allows the student to make connections between the lessons and the solo repertoire.
