With beginning and intermediate students, I work a lot with Faber and Faber's Piano Adventures and with the Alfred method. However, I am open to other methods if the student has a preference. With advanced students I strive towards a variety of repertoire. If they are classical players, I will make sure to eventually cover something Baroque, Classical (Mozart, Haydn, etc.), Romantic, and something modern, as well as all the gaps in between. Read More

I love kids. I believe that music is a continuous learning. It needs a lot of patience and dedication to both intructor and students in order to see the advancement. I am passionate and kind. I love to teach in this field and love to meet more people with different race and cultures. I graduated Bachelor of Science in Tourism and now I am taking my Masters of Business Admininistration. I have been teaching private piano lessons for the last 5 years in the USA and Serbia, and have been consistently teaching students in Rhythm School of Dance and Music, Niles, IL, for the last 2 years. I'mpassionate about making sure every student has what they need to become an independent musician, and I strive to get each student to reach their personal goals, whether it is to play for enjoyment or to make piano their career. Instruments: Piano Flute Piccolo
I first started teaching piano and flute/piccolo back when I was in high school. When I started, I mainly focused on helping my fellow students prepare for performances and competitions. When I was in college, I was offered a temporary teaching position to teach piano at Allegro Music Academy (Lemont, IL) and I was able to work with children of all ages and playing levels. I realized that I really enjoyed working with children and from that point on, I sought out to teach mainly children. Read More

For my beginner students who are children I typically start out with either Hal Leonard or Fabre lesson books to learn all the very important foundational keys in music. As I notice they are grasping the concepts and able to apply them I then like to find outside resources such as sheet music, classical, pop to allow them to enjoy and discover what they love most. When it comes to my beginner adult students I usually start them off in the Fabre adult beginner book. Read More

As my students grow, I tailor their repertoire to fit their needs and interests. I teach child and adult students. It's never too late to learn! Read More
Instruments: Piano Violin
During my undergrad, I have consistently taught private lessons as a part time violin instructor. After I moved to Madison, I had the chance to teach college students violin lessons and coach chamber groups in high schools through the outreach program at school. I strongly recommend students to practice every day even though it is only short amount of time. I have found if students get familiar with the instrument and learning materials, as a result, they would make good progress, feel motivate to continue to learn and enjoy playing the instruments.
