I just recently graduated from the University of Alabama in early May with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance. I have been studying piano for almost twelve years. During my time as an undergraduate, I performed in recitals, taught private lessons to students, and accompanied for vocalists and instrumentalists. Most of my lesson plans are customized for each student, depending the style they are interested in, and the level that they are already playing. Generally speaking for beginners, I begin with teaching about the instrument (string names, frets, tuning, etc.). Then we move on to chords, starting with the easiest ones to play.
