I first began teaching when I was appointed by my professor to be the tutor for music theory and beginning guitar class at the college I was attending. From 2011 until spring of 2014 I worked as the music director for an elementary school. My method makes understanding the breathing, support and execution of the voice the first priority.After this is achieved, exercises are assigned to further develop range, control, strength and vocal agility. The bottom line is that although it takes years to develop a strong, skillful and sensitive singer, it should not take years for a singer with good tutelage and a willingness to work hard, to sing competently.
