I have enjoyed performing in many venues from coffee shops to churches to big music halls; functions from weddings and funerals to special dinners; and just for fun with family and friends. I first started music at a young age through my local church; my first instrument being flute. I studied flute for many years before taking formal voice lessons. This led me to become a voice performance major at the Manhattan School of Music, where I sang lead roles in and outside of the school. In addition, I continued my flute studies as well as strengthen my piano skills. For adults, the Hal Leonard's Adult Piano Method is a good book to start with. For intermediate and advanced students, I will figure out the appropriate method books for them at the first time we meet. I like to encourage my students, help and motivate them enjoy the lesson.
