I excel in teaching my students to be proficient sight readers because I want them to gain the ability to sit down with any piece of music and play it. I believe my job as a teacher has been fulfilled if my students reach a point where they no longer require my help. I have taken lessons up until College, where I graduated from Bennett College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. There is certain flexibility that is tailored towards the student's choice of music he or she would like to learn. I also provide students the opportunity to learn songs of their choice. This can include reading guitar tabs, chord charts, lead charts, and still, sheet music. It is really up to the student, for I am able to teach one or all of these methods of learning songs.
