I've been teaching music for more than 12 years now. I can honestly say that I enjoy teaching and sharing my knowledge of music. Not everyone can say that they truly enjoy their job so I feel blessed. I have taught hundreds of students ranging from ages 4 to 80! I have taught individuals, groups or online lessons. While in college, I was required to do some student teaching, and this gave me a tremendous amount of insight into how best to approach being a music instructor. Since graduating, most of my musical experience has come from playing and directing choirs at churches, schools, and theatres, but I have continued teaching and enjoy learning different methods to share with my students. Past experiences include singing with the UTB/TSC Master chorale, with which he performed at the Texas Music Educators Association. I love working with children and helping them discover the piano and the joy of playing music. I graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy and have been teaching ever since. I am an active member of the Richardson Music Teachers Association, which affords many musical opportunities for my students.
