For beginning students I like to start with the Standard of Excellence book 1. Getting through that book we would advance to Rubanks Advanced Method Vol. 1 book. Perfecting the sound and tone is key to making a piece of music sound good followed by inputting expression and giving it color to a piece making it have more characteristic than just a piece of music. I am a passionate and dedicated musician, and I love teaching flute players of all levels and ages. I received my master's degree in flute performance from Shenandoah Conservatory in May of 2020 where I studied with internationally renowned flutist, Jonathan Snowden. I'm from Virginia, but currently reside in Columbus, Nebraska, where I spend my time practicing, teaching, and working part-time as volunteer coordinator for CCC Adult Education.
