I am excited to be a full-time drum instructor. I teach snare drum and/or whole drum kit. I began playing drums in high school and have continued playing music for over 25 years. I have live performance and studio recording experience. I was taught by 2 private teachers as well as a high school band instructor and university jazz professor. In college, I was a lead trumpet player for the UNL Cornhusker Marching Band. I have been teaching music in earnest in some capacity for the past five years. I worked as the music intern for a church where I would lead choir warmups and rehearsals, and from there I got my first flute student - a lovely soprano who was roughly 70 years young and had played flute in her high school days.
