I stared playing drums at the early age of 5. I graduated from Musicians Institute, one of the premier music institutions in the world. I have a passion for teaching drums for any age or skill level. I have toured the world as a professional drummer since the age of 21. I currently tour, give lessons, and own one of Ohio's best recording studios. I have played drums on over 150 records. For younger students, I typically start teaching from Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, as it provides a comprehensive method for learning the basics on the saxophne. Once my students have mastered this material, I begin to introduce solo repertoire. For older students, I teach from etude books such as Selected Studies for Saxophone by H. Voxman or Jazz Conception by Jim Snidero. In addition to learning from etudes, students will develop their solo repertoire. Read More
