My primary goal as a teacher is to develop a love of music within the students. I'm more interested in developing Artists than I am developing "Performers". Perfection is not something that I aspire to as an Artist. Sometimes perfection, and striving for impeccable technique can become on of the biggest hinderances for a Musician to truly embody the stage, and show their passion. I have had an active teaching schedule since high school. In my senior year at the San Francisco School of the Arts high school, I served as the Clarinet Coach at Presidio Middle School. In the summers of 2012 and 2013, I was the Clarinet Instructor at Cazadero Music Camp, where my duties included leading daily masterclasses, coaching ensembles of all size, leading sectionals, and more.
