I wont be asking a student to, all of the sudden, begin some vigorous practice routine of 20 hours a week. But I will be working with them to establish a routine that will work in their favor as a musician. I like to let students come to their own conclusions about things I like to just show a student the way. I have designed curriculums that work in phases according to the skill level of the student. In the beginning stages the curriculum is designed primarily based around the music theory required for playing the instrument at a high level. The lessons bounce back and forth between theory introduction and theory application. This continues throughout the beginning lessons, going from method to method accordingly.
