For beginning students who are children, I start with Essential Method Book for Strings. Once the students has progressed more, I use Suzuki Method books, and also, choose (introduce) solo pieces for recital performance. For adults, I find out what the student is interested in and find the book that fits their interest (and guide my instruction accordingly to engage them). Easy pop melodies book or other genres violin sheets will be also fun, no matter their ability level. Read More

My teaching methods are flexible and student-centered. I believe there is no single right way to learn piano, so I adapt lessons to each students age, personality, learning style, and goals. I combine traditional piano fundamentals with creative exploration to keep lessons engaging and accessible. Students may learn through reading music, listening, playing by ear, improvising, singing, or a combination of all of these. I enjoy incorporating familiar and motivating material such as Disney music, Star Wars themes, and popular songs when appropriate. Read More

I hope to emulate some of my great teachers including Robert Hurst, Cecil McBee, John Lockwood and others. Of course regular practice is necessary, but listening is also key to advancement. Besides regular warmups and technical workouts, I encourage every student to transcribe, sing and play along with music they like. My students will not only learn the ins and outs of their instruments, but also will learn to make their own music through improvising and composing.--Some of my experience includes almost a decade of national and international touring plus several years teaching ensembles and in classrooms at the university leve. I like to use "Piano Adventures by Faber". Also I teach music theory and ear training. My students musical interests are important to me. I try to find materials that they will enjoy playing. Children must be thought not what to think but how to think. I ask my students to try to find the answer themselves not always giving them the answer. Read More

I have a dynamic and flexible teaching style and personality. It’s important for me to assess what kind of learner and individual each of my students is, and that informs how I form my lessons. I prefer to set goals for my students based on what they would like to achieve, and what inspires them to want to continue their musical studies. My broad base of knowledge can offer a complete understanding of the art and science of music. Read More
Instruments: Voice
This gives you the foundation you need to sing music from Bach and Mozart to Folk and Pop or Broadway-style music from shows like Cats and Hamilton. My experience in professional theater sets me apart as a teacher who can help students develop artistry, and sing expressively to touch the hearts of those who listen. I use positive teaching methods that build self-confidence and the ability to be completely natural on stage. Read More

I began my work as Music Director at Old St. Patrick's Church, part of the Diocese of Lansing. During my time there, I was able to develop a relevant choral program based on the characteristics and aesthetics of the parish. The choir grew, and I improved the vocal and musical skills of all its members, which allowed us to effectively support all liturgies. We performed several concerts focused on traditional sacred music, including a grand farewell concert at Sweet Heart of Mary Church in Detroit in June of 2022. Read More
