My teaching and free lancing experience dates back to 1999 while attending Manhattan School of Music in New York. In New York, I enjoyed teaching privately and through community outreach programs. I currently teach in south east Michigan where I received my Master's in Clarinet Performance. My focus through my education was on band and orchestral clarinet playing. I have had the opportunity to study the clarinet with some of the countries finest teachers and players. Read More

I love transfering my love of music to students. I help them achieve their goals at a challenging, yet doable pace. When parts of the music are too difficult, I always break them down into their simplest possible parts. I am not strict, however I am realistic, and let students know that it is critical that they practice so that they can improve. Read More

In those institutes I taught applied music, theories and solfege. In 2011 I came to U.S. and I started teaching at Faith Lutheran Academy of Music, and I also gave private lessons at students' homes. I carefully watch and listen to my students' progress. If the material selection seems hard, I encourage him/her to take such material at a later time. Depending on the age of the student, I had students from those who looked up to me for guidance of music to those who set their own music goals. As a result, I adapted myself to the level and age of my students wishes and goals. Read More

While fairly new to teaching private lessons, I have taught musicians I have played with and other family members, friends, and others. I have encouraged everyone I have taught practical uses of the instrument that relates the music theory found in specific genres to more comprehensible techniques to use on the guitar. I take popular songs that are familiar to the student, and use the songwriting to help show the practicality and musical nature of theory. Read More

I began teaching guitar lessons in my home studio while I was still in college. I encourage frequent practice on a consistent schedule. When I began playing as a teenager, I practiced for up to 11 hours each day. There is no way that I could expect any of my students to possibly do that, but I do stress the importance of practicing often while keeping things fun. I also encourage my students to keep an open mind and listen to all genres of music, as there is something that can be learned from each genre, from metal to jazz to classical. Read More
