My methods include a wide variety of resources. For beginning students I like both the Hal Leonard and John Thompson approaches. Along with the lesson books, i also encourage technical studies including scales, arpeggios and other studies to build up finger strength, dexterity and independence, As the student progresses, I introduce memory work, choring and basic improvisation. For the more advanced student I let them work on repertoire of their choosing, stressing a variety of genres and styles. Read More

I've played piano since I was six and have loved music for many years. My wish is to spread such love for music and hopefully inspire my students in the future. I will graduate with a Bachelors of Music from the College-Conservatory of Music in the University of Cincinnati in December. By setting such a pace with realistic goals I can keep students engaged and encouraged to work through material and really achieve a feeling of competency.
