I play solo performances regularly for a variety of social events. My students have gone on to pursue degrees in music and play in successful bands. For children, I focus on the comprehension of pitch and note reading. If the child has a song that he or she wants to sing, then we will pursue it if it is vocally fitting. If not, I have a variety we can choose from. We also will pursue the fundamentals of music theory in our lessons as well.
