I began teaching music informally back in my high school days, leading students in my section who had difficult times with their instruments. This led me to become more interested and passionate about teaching students in need of proper guidance. I began volunteering at after school programs, at risk youth programs, and local bands in my town to contribute to those in need. While in college, I began teaching student lessons formally. Being a teacher is a very enjoyable and honorable job which I take seriously. I like to see my students progress and enjoy themselves at the same time. For that I create a plan for each student, which is divided into smaller groups I call goals. At the end of each goal I like to present the progress to each student so that they may realize the potential they have to grow as a musician and as a professional. Read More
Instruments: Drums
As far as drumming goes, I believe in the same tenets that were taught to me; start with the basics and core and work your way up. For drums that means rudiments, stick technique and snare basics (books like "Stick Control" -George Stone). But lessons are not a slow grind that maybe one day build up to a full drum set. I have always been eager to invest my knowledge of music into anyone with a keen interest. I began teaching in my under grad at UNF. I went back to the middle school I attended, LaVilla School of the Arts, and asked to host a master class. After being granted permission I taught a class of about 10 students for an hour, and then after the class I passed out my business cards so they could contact me. Read More

I'm an instructor that is always learning. I learn from my peers, professors and especially my students, and my goal when I give lessons is to pass everything I have and will learn to them. I'm currently going to school for Jazz Studies at SUNY Purchase College, and I perform in Pop, Funk and Jazz groups in the Westchester/New York area. I currently perform/record with groups like, singer/songwriter, Wendi Mancaku and pop band, Old Country Landscaping. Read More

Although I have taught at esteemed institutions such as Haverford College, Queens College and City College of New York, my main passion is teaching individual students 1 on 1, providing quality instruction to those want to enrich their lives with music. I started teaching when I was a conservatory student myself. Since then, my studio, which I call Opus 7 Music, grew over time and now I have both in-person students in New York City as well as students all over the world that I teach online. Read More
Instruments: Piano Guitar Voice
My first concern when I meet a student is to raise their interest and curiosity about music. I find that when the student is fascinated about the instrument he is learning, his will to progress and learn more makes our work together much more efficient and improvement much faster. The desire to learn must come from the student, no matter the age. Learning music requires a lot of hard work, perseverance and self-discipline. Read More
