My teaching style reflects how important it is to embrace every moment with a student as though they are my only student; taing into account each personality and ability. I can usually connect with an individual , assessing where to begin. A huge compliment to me, is when a past student enrolls their child/grandchild in lessons because of their prior experience with me. I am gentle, but teach self discipline, and all necessary fundamentals for their progress. Read More

I approach teaching in a very specialized why to every student I have. First I asses where you currently are as a player and discuss where you would like your playing to go. After I know where you want to go I can then tailor my teaching to your specific wants. Sometimes thats teaching songs and sometimes its teaching theory. If your wanting to know how to read music or tabs I can help with that as well. Read More

I like to have a balance in my lessons between fun and challenge.  I do this by setting realistic goals each week for my students, dependent on their level of perfomance and the pace that they are progressing.  Not everyone will progress at the same pace, and I feel that it is more important for a student to master a particular lesson than to move quickly through the lesson book.
