I have been teaching sporadicaly since the age of 22, from both my home as well as studio locations. I worked at La Musique seven years ago, initially hired as a sub, and then hired on a more steady basis, as many students and parents were requesting me. They enjoyed my relaxed style and great sense of humor.

I am a unique teacher who realizes that not every student is the same, or wants to learn the same type of music in the same way. I almost consider myself more of a COACH than a teacher. Yes, I do teach, and I am classically trained. However, I am more suited for the beginning/intermediate/late intermediate student (13 years of age or older) who wants to learn NEW ways of playing and performing a variety of music. For instance, I can help you make any given song sound more interesting! I personally play light jazz, pop, liturgical, and musical theater/Broadway music. I've performed in such venues as professional theaters and Busch Gardens showband. I am a practical, professional performer whose teaching reflects that sentiment and belief.
