I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. In 2005 I graduated from The Players School of Music. Performing with my favorite musicians and releasing my own music has been some of the greater experiences of my life as a musician, and I've had the opportunity to play with my biggest influences and call them my colleagues. I have 12 years of classical training on the violin, 8 years of classical training on the piano, have taught private violin and viola lessons to more than 300 students over the course of 6 summers through the Hempfield School District, participated in the NAfME All-Eastern Orchestra, performed for a year as the bluegrass and old-time fiddler in the Joe Hillman Band (Philadelphia, PA), performed as the celtic fiddler in The Ogham Stones (Lancaster, PA) for one year, and have led my own band for 2 years as a singer, songwriter and guitar player. I first started teaching during my sophomore year in college, teaching students how to prepare for the Iowa All-State Music Festival. I taught these students throughout my college years and saw many of them become successful trombone players, plus a few are now great band directors. Since I graduated college in 2013 I've been invited to be a brass clinician for multiple schools, a middle school solo contest judge, and as a musician in a wide variety of ensembles I work with fellow colleagues to create a memorable performance that audiences will enjoy.
