I grew up with loving and compassionate teachers and family members.  It's my job as a human being to offer that same level of respect and compassion. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Faber's Piano Adventures or Suzuki's Piano School, however I am open to other books. Faber focuses more on written and piano practice whereas Suzuki focuses on auditory learning and piano practice. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. I also like to have my students work on a wide variety of repertoire, even if they would like to specialize in only one field. I have a masters degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance from Oberlin Conservatory in Ohio. Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, I started my trombone career surrounded and mentored by the leading brass players in the Chicagoland area.
