I have been learning piano for more than twenty years and flute about ten years. I teach individual lesson privately or at a music center; I also teach group lesson at schools or some welfare organisations. Among my students. there are students from less than 3 years old to more than 30 years old. I love teaching both adults and kids. I will give my student a scale, and Etude and a piece from violin repertoire. My essential teaching style is based on the Galamians Principles of Violin Playing Teaching. I believe that starting with fundamentals of violin techniques, left hand and right hand techniques is essential. After mastering the fundamentals, students are able to grow into their own musicalityand find a connection between the techniques and interpretation, where I would teach the importance of musical phrasing and understanding the structure of a piece of music. I was also able to cadet teach second grade music for my entire senior year. On top of the education classes that I was required to take in college, I began taking on a couple of voice students to jump start my career as a music teacher. I now teach fifth grade general music and I enjoy every second of it. Every person is different. It's the most interesting and important aspect of learning an instrument. What you sound like on your instrument is completely unique to you. For this reason, I don't believe any one curriculum, class, course or YouTube tutorial will work best for everyone. Of course, all of those things will play a role in a student's development. However, I believe working with a student means understanding their goals, even if they themselves are unsure, as well as guiding them through the traditional and professional aspects of drumming.
