In 2015, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Michigan, followed by a Master's degree in Vocal Performance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2019. For beginners, I always start with a classical approach, which stresses the importance of posture and breathing. We'll usually start with the First Book of [Voice Part]'s Solos and mix in one or two musical theater pieces. With any kind of student I will always set goals and make sure that those goals are achieved by the end of the time you set for yourself. A lot of the time I take great care of your plan and my plan. I desire for the student to learn as much about themselves as they do their instrument. I believe that piano and voice are conduits for expression of emotion and thought and are extremely beneficial in helping students find confidence and awareness. My main motto is that EVERYONE can make music and so I encourage all types of people to learn at my studio. Music and performance as a profession will only last if the student has passion for it so I try to encourage each student to discover why they want to pursue music throughout lessons. Read More
