Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I graduated from Kansas State University in 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance and a minor in Theatre. Over the past 5 years I have had 7 beginner piano students and 10 voice students of varying levels. I have taught ages 5-10 for piano and 11-20 for voice. I currently teach online via FaceTime/Zoom, am available to go to students homes or host them in my studio. I have held four master classes for five different high schools in the past. I have been judging piano and voice for 2 years now and enjoy every moment of getting the work with people. Hello, I'm Mackenzie B.. I'm currently a student at the University of Kansas for a Bachelors in Music Education. I am student teaching currently, which is my last step before receiving my degree. I currently work with Kerry Marsh for the KU Jazz Singers and enjoy singing both classical and jazz music. I also have two or three ukuleles and enjoy jamming with an acoustic guitar. My methods vary greatly dependent upon the needs of the student. For younger students, I start with early fundamentals (music in general, breathing, and confidence) through easy songs that are recognizable and fun to learn. As a student ages, the voice matures, so I assess a student's vocal qualities and give them appropriate rep through their voice changing.
