Growing up under the impression of my father, who was always involved in playing instruments and singing from a young age, you could say that it is in my DNA. From 2003-2011, nearly my entire primary school education, I was trained in music theory, music performance in orchestra and voice, and singing for the stage. If you're a beginner, you were put in a beginning class. this makes it very difficult for students to advance quickly because they aren't playing music with people who are more advanced than them. I make sure the students have the ability to play the instrument before they learn a ton of theory, because knowing how the wrritten form of music work without being able to play them is recipe for frustration.
