Instruments: Trombone Euphonium Tuba
At the age of ten, I began my musical adventures with a trombone in my hand. During my primary school days, I was active in music, picking up a number of different instruments, and playing in every ensemble imaginable- from symphony band to brass quintet to big band. After high school I traveled to Western Michigan University, where I began studying bass trombone full time, under the tutelage of Dr. Read More

I am a passionate and forward thinking instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love for music. I have a Bachelor Degree in Choir Conducting. In 2016, I graduated from the University of Arts of Havana, Cuba with a Major degree in Classical Music Composition. My main training is in vocal and choral music. I have had the opportunity to perform as a singer and a choir conductor in different countries, including Spain, Mexico, Canada, Germany and United States of America. Read More
Instruments: Piano Guitar Drums
I find the Hal Leonard Series works as a tool for helping students understand musical concepts right away. For students who are more advanced I will plan their lessons based on what their goals are. Every student is different: Some want to compete in recitals, some want to play for their friends and family when they come over, some want to compose their own musical pieces, some people just wanna jam! Instruments: Flute Piccolo
Teaching is something that I have always done, in addition to performing. I incorporate fundamentals and musicality with every student, but each student learns differently and has different goals. I do not have a set curriculum, I gear the study to the student, what the student needs and wants to accomplish. I encourage students to perform in some way, either on a solo recital of in a chamber ensemble. I hold annual recitals and online students also participate in recitals, if they choose. Read More
Instruments: Violin Viola
I believe in the "one thing" lesson. If a student can improve on just one thing in a lesson than that lesson was successful. My past students would probably say I am overall a nice guy but incredibly picky when it comes to perfecting a piece and hold each of my students to a very high standard. I try to give immediate and concrete feedback at all times and my students know to ask for clarification if they need to. Read More
Instruments: Trumpet Trombone Euphonium Tuba
I have taught many private students in the past in a variety of different age groups, instruments, and musical genres. I am currently doing field work each week working with younger students in classrooms at schools such as Saline Middle School and Ann Arbor STEAM. I have experience in marching band, lead trombone playing in jazz big band, solo work/jazz combo playing, musical theater music/pit playing, and classical playing. Read More
Instruments: Clarinet Music
My teaching and free lancing experience dates back to 1999 while attending Manhattan School of Music in New York. In New York, I enjoyed teaching privately and through community outreach programs. I currently teach in south east Michigan where I received my Master's in Clarinet Performance. My focus through my education was on band and orchestral clarinet playing. I have had the opportunity to study the clarinet with some of the countries finest teachers and players. Read More
