I will generally start out with well known songs sung by ear, and then depending on the students level help them to learn to read music. My experience teaching goes back to high school in which I tutored students in multiple subjects including Spanish and English. I also would help my section to improve as a section leader. During my college years, I worked as a graduate teaching assistant which allowed me to help students primarily in music. Part of my duties included teaching smaller classes and tutoring students in music theory and ear training. I enjoy making sure students of all ages can begin their instrumental adventure with a solid foundation and the right knowledge to inspire self-efficiency.
