I also want my students to enjoy the violin and look forward to their lessons each week as much as I do. If I ever sense that the student is becoming frustrated or isn’t practicing, I consider it my responsibility to get them back on track. I believe that music students are not "one size fits all", so I create an individual approach catered to each student's strengths, weaknesses, and interests. For beginners, I typically start with the very basics such as putting the instrument together(if applicable), posture/form, and fingerings. I'm a passionate instructor who cares deeply about a students education. In 2015, I graduated from West Johnston High School as drum captain in my band program. Since then I've performed in Alchemy Independent, an open class indoor percussion group. I've been with the group since 2017, and I have completed 2 seasons with them. Performing for an audience has been the best experiences of my life, and having the opportunity to play with all of these different organizations have been incredible and inspiring. Read More

My teaching style is to get the student engaged during the lesson. I want the student to have fun and develop a true passion and understanding for music and the instrument. This is one of the reasons why the musical repertoire chosen is based on the students musical preferences rather than only playing generic tunes from the method book.
